AKG AB4000 Description:
High-performance antenna booster for inserting into long antenna cables.
One AB 4000 can compensate for approx. 17 dB of cable attenuation, allowing RG 213 cable runs to be extended by approx. 60 m (200 feet). Up to three AB 4000 boosters can be used in series for extremely long cable runs.
In-line antenna signal amplifier for WMS 4000 or WMS 400 system.

- The booster shall be an ultra-linear in-line design with a maximum gain of 17 dB and a water resistant case.
- A bank of 3 DIP switches shall allow for optimum matching to connected antenna cable lengths of up to 35 m (RG 58) or 75 m (RG 213).
- To handle even longer cable runs up to 105 m (RG 58) or 225 m (RG 213), it shall be possible to connect two boosters in series with no signal degradation.
- The booster shall be remotely powered from a PS 4000 antenna splitter or an external power supply and feature an LED indicating the presence of a supply voltage.
- The booster shall be available either with 50-ohm BNC or N connectors and operate in the 650 MHz to 870 MHz carrier frequency range.
- The booster gain shall be adjustable from 3.5 to 17.5 dB in 2 dB steps.
- The booster shall operate off a supply voltage of 8 V, measure 78 x 50 x 50 mm, and weigh 150 grams.
