The Electro-Voice DL18MT is an 18", 400-watt component subwoofer speaker for P.A. cabinets, featuring extended-length voice-coils for accurate, dynamic low-frequency program content. The speaker is equipped with a proprietary heat-transfer system for long-term performance reliability.
A patented DL12BFH Flux Demodulation Device encircles the unit's voice-coil and the pole piece, providing an additional heat transfer path, and thereby reducing distortion across the band. The voice coils are electrically insulated from adjacent metal parts, further reducing damage from rubbing friction during extreme power peaks.
